Changed hosting providers from GoDaddy to HostGator, mostly for the feature-set, and partially for the increased speed that HostGator provides. So if you experience any downtime or issues with the site, it's due to that change being propogated.
If you're looking for a new web host be sure to check out HostGator, in my limited experience with them so far they seem great!

A quick shot of the excitement from our trip to Dillon Beach. Ian broke his ankle skim boarding early into the vacation and was less than able to enjoy the rest of it.

Welcome to version 2.0 of my website. It's changed a lot, it's a lot faster, smarter, more customized, and way easier for me to handle.
It's also properly web 2.0 looking, with no special tricks or anything, and it should be 4 way browser compatible (IE, Firefox, Safari, and Opera).
Sorry there are no pictures up in the gallery yet... I just got it working on my webserver last night and have not been able to get stuff uploaded too it, but eventually it'll be up there, and faster and more secure than ever. The gallery system I was using before was too much for my needs and was slow and unreliable with huge storage costs, this will be a lot better.
Anyways, hope you all like the new site.

The backend is still getting worked on heavily, sorry if the site goes down from time to time. Still working on getting all the mysql stuff sorted out.

Well I updated the backend heavily... It's actually a real management system now.
Also, Ian has a page up, check out ian.amdavidson.com. He moved his site to

Well, it finally happened... I broke my collarbone and bruised myself up real good.

Well I just got back from the 2006 SAE Mini Baja competition yesterday and thought that I would post results and pictures from the competition.
We got an 8th overall.
The breakdown is as follows:
Overall, no complaints, there were some good cars there (and some bad ones), and we had our share of good and bad luck.

I finally got the gallery integrated into the main site. Now it looks more like it belongs, rather than being an after-thought
(which it wasn't). Go to the Gallery [dead link] to check it out.

I added a section for "other content" on the site.
It's random stuff, or stuff I don't want to post on the front page. But there is some stuff in there worth
viewing.
This is no longer true.

A quick shot from Naomi's 21st birthday party at Vallartas restaurant in San Luis Obispo.
That's a 60 ounce magarita in front of her.

Last night the gallery upgrade was completed, so old links to pictures and gallery stuff wont work. You can visit the new one

Fixed the page so it displays properly on some 1024px wide displays. If you use something smaller than that: Sorry, but you're
going to have to scroll. The IE display bug may or may not exist... still working that one out. The IE bug is gone.

Added a section for "archived" posts. I had (what I felt) was too many posts on the main page today, and I,
regretfully, deleted some of them. So I added some stuff to the frontend and backend so that now there is an archived
section so that I won't have to delete stuff anymore! [No longer true.]

Changed all colors on the page to "web safe" colors, so they should look exactly the same on all browsers on all computers that
can display more than 256 colors. It ended up darkening the title boxes a little more than I had em before, and changing the
colors for the beveled edges slightly, but overall it's the same page. That was all talking about the older styling.

I have finally learned enough php to make the main site with php and a mysql backend. So there are many new features and tricks that have been opened up to me. Expect the site to change at any time. This also means that the site could go down at any time.
